Dormition Cathedral is one of the great churches inside the Moscow Kremlin. Built between 1475 and 1479 by Aristotele Fioravanti, it became the coronation church of the Russian monarchs and the burial place of many Moscow metropolitans and patriarchs. Inside, the iconostasis and frescoes give the cathedral much of its force.
