Ostankino Palace and Park was the Sheremetev family's summer residence and private opera theatre north of central Moscow. The wooden palace was built in 1792-1798 around a theatre hall, with Egyptian and Italian pavilions nearby.
The site also includes the 17th-century Trinity Church and remnants of the old park, making it a strong stop for visitors interested in Moscow's aristocratic estates.
