Nikulin Circus

Nikulin Circus is one of Moscow's classic entertainment venues, opened in 1880 as the Salamonsky Circus and later associated with the beloved Soviet clown and actor Yuri Nikulin. A statue of Nikulin stands outside the building.

The draw is the live performance rather than the architecture alone. It is most useful for families, circus fans, or travellers looking for a very Russian evening out beyond the usual theatre and ballet circuit.
