Ostankino Tower is one of Moscow's tallest landmarks, rising more than 500 m above the northern part of the city. Its observation deck, roughly 340 m up, gives a wide view over Moscow when visibility is good.
The tower is primarily a broadcasting structure, but the height and engineering make it a worthwhile stop for travellers interested in city views or Soviet-era infrastructure. Check opening rules before going, as access can change with security or maintenance work.
