St Dunstan in the East is a ruined City church turned public garden. The church was rebuilt by Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London, then largely destroyed during the Blitz, leaving the tower and hollowed-out walls. Since 1967 the ruins have been planted with trees and vines, making it one of the City's most atmospheric small green spaces.
