Alameda de Santa Maria la Ribera is the neighbourhood's historic park and gathering place. Its standout feature is the Kiosco Morisco, an ornate iron pavilion built for the 1884 New Orleans World's Fair and moved here in 1910.
The park is especially lively on weekends, when dance classes, small markets, and music give the square a local rhythm.
