Teatro de la Ciudad is a historic theatre in Mexico City's Centro Histórico, designed with stacked balconies and an old opera-house feel. It is still an active performance venue, hosting theatre, dance, music, and other stage work.
Even if you are not seeing a show, the building is worth noting on a walk through the theatre and palace cluster around Calle Donceles and Bellas Artes.
