Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo, usually shortened to MUAC, is UNAM's major contemporary art museum on the Ciudad Universitaria campus. It shows temporary exhibitions by Mexican and international artists, alongside rotating works from the university's permanent collection.
The museum is a strong add-on to a visit to Ciudad Universitaria and the UNAM Botanical Garden. It is less central than Mexico City's older art museums, but the campus setting and changing programme make it worth the trip for contemporary art.
