Museo Frida Kahlo

The iconic blue house where Frida lived, painted, and died

The Casa Azul in Coyoacán, the cobalt-blue house where Frida Kahlo was born, lived most of her life with Diego Rivera, and died in 1954. Her studio, her wheelchair at the easel, the bed she painted from, and a selection of her work are all here. It is one of the most visited museums in the city, so book tickets online in advance — the queue at the door can be hours.
