Näsinpuisto is a large park on the west shore of Lake Näsijärvi between the city centre and Särkänniemi. The park has formal gardens near the lakefront, mixed forest on the higher ground, and good walking paths connecting the Finlayson area to Särkänniemi along the lake. In winter the paths are maintained and the lake views are good under snow.
The park connects naturally to the Särkänniemi peninsula and can be incorporated into a walking route from the city centre to the amusement park. The lakefront section has benches and a couple of small docks. Quieter than Pyynikki and less known to visitors, which makes it a better option for an undisturbed walk.
