Marienkirche

Marienkirche is one of the oldest churches in Berlin's historic centre, a Gothic building begun in the late 13th century. Its tower was reshaped in the 18th century by Carl Gotthard Langhans, the architect of the Brandenburg Gate. The church now stands in the open space below the Fernsehturm, which makes its medieval scale especially striking.
