Topography of Terror is an open-air and indoor documentation centre on the former site of the Gestapo, SS, and Reich Security Main Office headquarters. Excavated basement remains and a preserved stretch of the Berlin Wall make the site itself part of the exhibit.
The displays explain how Nazi terror was planned and administered from this block. It is a sober, detailed stop, best paired with nearby Checkpoint Charlie or the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.
