Sher Shah Suri Gate stands opposite Purana Qila, a surviving fragment of the 16th-century city associated with the Afghan ruler Sher Shah Suri. It is smaller than the fort itself, but worth noticing if you are walking around the old walls and trying to read the layers of Delhi's pre-Mughal and early Mughal history.
