Fælledparken

Fælledparken is Copenhagen's largest park — 58 hectares of open lawns, sports facilities, and paths in the heart of Østerbro. It is where Copenhageners go to play football on a Sunday morning, picnic on a summer afternoon, and watch outdoor concerts in the evening. The scale is generous and the park feels genuinely urban rather than manicured: muddy football pitches, barbecue spots, people sunbathing on any patch of grass.

The national stadium (Parken) and the Copenhagen football stadium are at the eastern edge of the park. On match days the park fills with fans and the atmosphere extends into the streets around it. The park also hosts major outdoor concerts — many international acts play here rather than in venues because of the size. Worth visiting even with no event on; the park is busy and social on any warm day.
