Lille Mølle (the Little Mill) is one of the few surviving windmills from the series that once stood on the old fortifications (voldene) around Copenhagen. It sits at the edge of the Christianshavn ramparts, a small four-sailed structure in the Dutch style, and marks the point where the city fortifications met the canal system. The mill no longer operates but has been preserved as a monument.
The fortification embankments around Lille Mølle are public green space — pleasant to walk along in good weather and quiet enough to be a genuinely peaceful spot within 15 minutes of central Copenhagen. Good views south over the Christianshavn canals from the top of the rampart.
