Skuespilhuset is the Royal Danish Theatre's modern playhouse on the harbour. Opened in 2008, it is a clean-lined waterfront building with three stages and broad views across to Christianshavn and Holmen.
Even without seeing a performance, it is worth passing on a harbour walk. The foyer cafe and waterside setting make it an easy pause between Nyhavn, Amalienborg, and the opera house.
