Middelalderlandsbyen

Middelalderlandsbyen is a small living-history village in Copenhagen's western suburbs, built around reconstructed thirteenth-century houses and workshops. It opened in 1999 and is aimed especially at families, with hands-on activities rather than glass-case displays.

The village pond, timber buildings, and craft demonstrations make it a useful stop for children who need history to feel physical. It is outside the central sightseeing circuit, so check opening days before heading out.
