Trianglen (The Triangle) is the main square of Østerbro — a small triangular plaza formed by the junction of several broad avenues, lined with café terraces and surrounded by the well-maintained apartment buildings that define the neighbourhood's character. The square is the social hub of Østerbro: outdoor seating fills in any dry weather, and the concentration of good cafés and restaurants here is among the best in the city.
The streets radiating from Trianglen — Nordre Frihavnsgade, Classensgade, Østerbrogade — each have their own character for eating and shopping. Less famous than Nørrebro or Vesterbro but more consistently pleasant for a long afternoon.
