Ambassador Bridge

The Ambassador Bridge spans the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor. When it opened in 1929, its suspended central span was the longest in the world, and it remains one of North America's busiest international crossings.

Visitors do not need to cross it to appreciate it: the bridge is best treated as a Detroit riverfront landmark, seen from nearby west-side viewpoints or as part of a drive through the Corktown and Mexicantown area.
