The Michigan Science Center is the city's main hands-on museum for families, with more than 250 interactive exhibits across physics, biology, space, and the environment. The Toyota 4D Theater, the Dassault Systèmes Planetarium, and a four-storey IMAX with one of the largest screens in the state add to the basic admission. The Fatberg, a chunk of fused fat and rags pulled from Detroit's sewers, has its own display case and has become a strange museum favourite.
The building is part of the Midtown cultural cluster opposite the Detroit Institute of Arts. Closed Mondays.
