Marine Park is Brooklyn's largest park, protecting grassland and salt marsh around Gerritsen Creek. It is one of the better places in the borough for a quieter walk, birdwatching, and a look at coastal habitat away from the better-known waterfront parks.
The park is large and spread out, so choose a specific trail or marsh area before going rather than expecting a single central sight.
