Staten Island Museum

The Staten Island Museum is located within Snug Harbor Cultural Center in a building that dates from 1918. The collections span natural history, art and island history; the natural history collection includes specimens gathered since the 1880s. The museum is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the borough and runs a programme of temporary exhibitions alongside its permanent collections.
