Riverside Park runs for four miles along the Hudson River from 72nd Street to 158th Street, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and completed in stages from 1873. Unlike Central Park it is narrow and riverfront, following the bluff above the Hudson, and its northern sections are significantly less crowded. The 79th Street Boat Basin is a marina where a small community of New Yorkers live on their boats year-round. The Grant's Tomb monument at 122nd Street is the largest mausoleum in North America.
