The Voelker Orth Museum is a late-19th-century house museum in Flushing, built in 1891 and lived in by the Voelker family for three generations. The rooms preserve a domestic view of Queens before the neighbourhood became one of New York's busiest immigrant centres.
The Victorian garden and small bird sanctuary are part of the visit, making it a quiet add-on to Flushing Town Hall, the Bowne House, and the area's older religious sites.
