Queens Zoo is a compact wildlife park inside Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, focused largely on animals of the Americas. The scale is manageable rather than overwhelming, with bison, pumas, bears, sea lions, and smaller exhibits spread across an 11-acre site.
It is a good family stop when combined with the Queens Museum, the Unisphere, and the rest of Flushing Meadows. It is not a destination zoo on the scale of the Bronx Zoo, but it fits well into a half-day in the park.
