Old Stone House

The Old Stone House is a 1930s reconstruction of a Dutch farmhouse first built here in 1699. It stands on a site tied to the Battle of Brooklyn, the first major battle after the Declaration of Independence and the largest battle of the American Revolution.

Inside, small exhibits explain the battle and the area's layered Dutch, Revolutionary, and neighborhood history. It is an easy stop while exploring Park Slope or nearby Prospect Park.
