Ben Gurion House

The Ben Gurion House is the small Bauhaus apartment building at 17 Ben Gurion Boulevard where David Ben-Gurion lived between 1931 and 1968 — most of the working years of his life, including his term as Israel's first Prime Minister. It is now a small museum, preserved largely as he left it.

The main draw is the library: more than twenty thousand volumes lining every wall on three floors, from Greek philosophy to Buddhist commentary, all annotated in the margins by Ben-Gurion himself. A short visit, well worth half an hour. Free; closed Saturdays.
