Metzitzim Beach sits just south of Tel Aviv Port, where the boardwalk gives way to sand again. It is one of the city's easier beaches for families, with calm facilities and plenty of nearby places to eat or get out of the sun.
The beach is also a small piece of Israeli pop culture, known from the 1972 film Metzitzim. Come for the sand rather than the film history; this is a practical, lively city beach, not a quiet escape.
