Great Synagogue

The Great Synagogue of Tel Aviv sits at the corner of Allenby and Ahad Ha'am, an enormous 1920s building with a domed central hall and a distinctive set of curved concrete arches added in 1969 to give the facade more presence. It was for decades the largest synagogue in the city.

It is still used for weekday and Shabbat services and occasional weddings, with a small visitor centre on the lower floor explaining the building's history. The Ben Yehuda Tour of Hebrew Tel Aviv usually stops here. Conservative dress required for entry.
