The Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian street, immediately east of Carmel Market, hosts an arts and crafts market every Tuesday and Friday from ten in the morning to five in the afternoon. Around two hundred stalls, all by artists who must produce and sell their own work — jewellery, ceramics, prints, and clothing.
The standard is unusually high, and prices are reasonable. The pedestrian street is also lined with restored early-twentieth-century buildings and a row of restaurants and cafés worth a longer linger.
