A seasonal open-air beer garden on the south bank of the Hozu River, directly below Togetsukyo bridge in Arashiyama. The selection covers Japanese craft beers from Kyoto and Kansai regional brewers, with simple food -- edamame, yakitori, fried tofu -- served alongside. The views across the river to the forested hills are best in the late afternoon.
Open weather-dependent from spring through autumn; the garden is covered in light rain. A reasonable place to sit after the bamboo grove if the main Arashiyama cafes are full.
