Hōrinji Temple is a Shingon temple on the Arashiyama side of Kyoto, known for its Akasagarbha bodhisattva and its views over the city. It is quieter than nearby Tenryu-ji and Togetsukyo Bridge, making it a worthwhile short climb when exploring the district.
