Shorin-in is a small temple in the Ohara area, close to Sanzen-in. It is associated with the priest Honen, who is said to have held a famous question-and-answer session in the temple's main hall.
The temple is best visited as part of a quiet Ohara walk rather than as a standalone trip. Its appeal is the setting and religious history, especially if you are already seeing Sanzen-in and the nearby rural temples.
